Drop One Hundred Two

Proverbs 3:5

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding” (NASB1995).

What was the commandment that God gave to Adam and Eve? He gave the same to Abraham, Noah and his sons, Israel and so many others – “be fruitful and multiply”. It sounds easy. But it can be the hardest, most heart wrenching, complicated, as well as rewarding task to achieve. The roles of each family member change as the years pass. Rules change as the years pass. As each person grows into the next stage of life, there is a better understanding of what it means to be human as well as the many facets of the love of God. When things don’t make sense and the struggle is real, trust Him. God has a plan. We have our choices to make along the way, but ultimately, “The mind of man plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps” (Proverbs 16:9, NASB1995).

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for opportunities to learn more about You and how much You truly love each of us. You not only sent Jesus, your only begotten Son, to live a perfect life, die a sacrificial death on a cross, and rise again on the third day, but also sent the Holy Spirit to reside in the hearts of those who believe. Thank You for drawing us to You. Thank You for choosing to save us from the consequences of our sins. Thank You for your forgiveness as shown by your gifts of grace, mercy, and the wisdom to choose to become your adopted children through faith.

In the Name of Jesus we pray,

AMEN
