Drop One Hundred Three
Ephesians 6:10-12
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places” (NASB1995).
Jesus warned us in John 16:33, “these things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world” (NASB1995). I have also heard that if there are no arrows in your shield of faith, you are not a threat to the devil. In the depth of hurt and the heat of an argument, it is often difficult to not take the attacks personally. It is difficult to recognize your loved one, co-worker, or friend when blinded by anger. However, through the love and grace of God and a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit, peace is possible. Instead of just agreeing to disagree, and walking away, perhaps it is time to agree to understand and reunite.
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for not giving up on us. Thank You for walking beside us through each trial and teaching us to trust your plan for us. Grant us a willingness and the ability to let go of any root of bitterness lingering in our hearts and minds. May we truly exchange our hurts and burdens for the joy and peace You offer. All we need to do is ask.
In the Name of Jesus we pray,
AMEN
