Drop One Hundred Seven

Matthew 5:6

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied” (NASB1995).

While listening to the radio on my way home from church I heard this statement, “If you want to be hungry for righteousness, quick snacking on sin”. It is amazing how we crave what we eat. As one who has been given to indulging on sweets, my appetite for them is changing. When focusing on eating what my body needs, rather than what it thinks it wants, my desire for over-indulgence fades – as do the pounds. Same goes with spending time in prayer. The more we pray, the more we pray and are dependent on the Lord. As pastor stated this morning: Daily Decisions Demonstrate Devotion. Have you any daily decisions that need to be abandoned and replaced to improve your demonstration of devotion to Christ? You are not alone. And with Christ, all things are possible.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for choosing us. Thank You for the gift of faith and of the Holy Spirit. May we genuinely walk with You and abandon whatever is hindering a closer walk with You. May we trust You to finish the work that You began in each of us, and may we accept the calling You have placed on our lives. Forgive us for whatever is keeping us from moving forward in our walk with You and help us to release it into your hands.

In the Name of Jesus we pray,

AMEN
