Drop One Hundred Eight

Matthew 5:19

“And He said to them, “Follow Me; and I will make you fishers of men” (NASB1995).

Recently, my husband shared with me part of what fishing is about. It isn’t just about catching fish big enough to keep, but how many did you catch? When we share our testimony of how the Gospel changed us some may be like the fish that are too small to take home – not quite ready. Some may be that big fish that no one thought would listen, let alone choose to follow Jesus. Others are just enough for today. And then you go again. And again. Some days there may not be any proof of your efforts for others to see, but Your Heavenly Father sees and is at work. Trust Him to keep working in the hearts and minds of those you share the Gospel with. And trust that He loves them even more than you do.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for your faithfulness. It is amazing that of all creation, You choose us to be your representative to our neighbors. Provide us with a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit, clean hearts, fill them with joy, and opportunities to share your love with others this week. Isaiah 55:11 states, “So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it” (NASB1995). May we be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, today and everyday.

In the Name of Jesus we pray,

AMEN
