Drop Ninety-Two
Mark 3:34-35
“Looking about at those who were sitting around Him, He *said, ‘Behold My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God, he is My brother and sister and mother” (NASB1995).
Happy Mother’s Day weekend! I always wanted to be a mom. I remember during a high school study hall writing out at least twelve first and middle names for my future children. A girl born in May would have been named Daisy Mae. A totally different name was given to our daughter born in May. None of the names on that paper were used by us. While binging the mother of three daughters wasn’t all sunshine and roses – my husband went fishing once a month as often as possible (I am sure you know why). I wouldn’t trade any of them for anything. We love our girls. Although we have not seen them as much since the move, I pray for them, their families, and look forward to the days we will be together again. In the meantime, fellowshipping with my husband, extended family, ladies at church, etc., and blogging here for you helps to fill the spaces. Thanks for being my reading family 😊. May we all do the will of God each day.
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for claiming us. Not just as neighbors and friends, but as FAMILY! Thank You for teaching us to love and serve one another. Help us to follow through and share Your love with others. Thank You for the Holy Spirit within us to prompt and guide us through every decision. May we have ears to hear, hearts that heal, and courage to do all we are called to do.
In the name of Jesus we pray,
AMEN
