Drop One Hundred Sixty-Two

Psalm 62:5 - 8

“My soul, wait in silence for God only,

For my hope is from Him.

He only is my rock and my salvation,

My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.

On God my salvation and my glory rest;

The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.

Trust in Him at all times, O people;

Pour out your heart before Him;

God is a refuge for us. Selah” (NASB1995).

I have been leaning heavily upon the Lord. The undercurrent of recent physical ailments, family dynamics, and work-related stress seem to be more spiritual warfare than anything else. I am so thankful for the peace the Lord provided through the prayers of our prayer team, praying friends, and my own prayers. God has surrounded me with His peace and love. It amazes me how often my anxiety producing overthinking is relieved through prayer and praising God for all He has done and can do.

Today is the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001 - a day we choose not to forget those who lost their lives while trying to save the lives of others. A day when terrorism struck home. Before this day ends pray for both the pursecuted and those who pursecute others. Christ died for the sins of all. And all means all.

Father in Heaven,

Thank You for being our hope, rock, salvation and stronghold. Thank You for being our sovereign Lord, Creator and Redeemer. Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to be our comforter when trials come. Help us to choose to seek You first and trust You when the trials come. Thank You for the promise that You will never leave nor forsake those who trust in You.

In the name of Jesus we pray,

AMEN
