Drop One Hundred Forty-six

Matthew 11:28

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” (NASB1995).

The youngest sibling of my best friend since junior high school passed into eternity last Monday. She had fought a tough battle with illness. As much as I ache with the family during this time of life, I rejoice in the hope that she is no longer in pain. She had many joys on this side of Heaven in the midst of the trials she fought. Just last fall, she helped me learn the process of canning, along with her daughters, her mother and my friend. This family has been like my own for so long. Praying for peace and hope to flourish during this time of grief.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving us. Thank You for choosing us as Your own. Thank You for comforting the brokenhearted. Help us to choose to serve You and honor You through our love for You. May those that have experienced loss this week trust You and come to You for rest. May we all turn our hearts back to You. Forgive us for any harsh words or even thoughts that allowed our hearts to harden this week. Help us to love You more today and each day. May we share Your love with others throughout the coming days.

In the Name of Jesus we pray,

AMEN
