Drop One Hundred Fifty-Nine
Proverbs 22:1-2
“A good name is to be more desired than great wealth; Favor is better than silver and gold. The rich and the poor have a common bond, The LORD is Maker of them all” (NASB1995).
It has been said, “hurt people hurt people”. And it is very true. Sadly, hurting others when feeling hurt does not repair the hurt feelings within – it just adds to it. I have been both the giver and receiver of hurt. There is only one who can resolve the pain felt within: The Lord Himself. Relationships are difficult. We do not all think the same way or see issues from the same vantage point. To level up from the pointing fingers and passing blame the true problem needs to be addressed. Whether words, actions, or invasive thoughts were shared or withheld, the vantage point of each person involved varies within every conflict. God is the only one who sees all sides. Through His wisdom, we can work through our differences and find the value of each person’s contribution. As we move to attacking problems rather than attacking people, we will build a good reputation as people of faith to the glory and honor of the Lord.
Father in Heaven,
You are faithful and true. You know and love each of us – faults and all. Help us to see beyond our emotions and seek Your wisdom and guidance every moment of every day. We need You. Thank You for choosing us.
In the name of Jesus we pray,
AMEN
