Drop Eighty-Eight
Matthew 11:28
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest“ (NASB1995).
It had been a few weeks since the accident occurred that resulted in broken bones. While they had figured out a routine that kept them afloat, the struggle was very real. Balancing medical concerns with my husband and wanting to help my daughter led to a delay until things seemed more stable at home. This last week, I was able to spend time with my daughter and her family and lend a hand. All the adults in her home needed rest. So thankful for the opportunity to assist in caring for children, make pancakes and cookies, assist with laundry and dishes and just hang out. Such a blessing to be there. The change in routine resulted in a different type of rest for them and for me.
While I was away, a dear friend passed into eternal rest as did a sweet baby relative of another dear friend. My prayers for peace are with the family and friends of these new members of Heaven.
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for opportunities for work and for rest. Thank You for the hope we have - to be in Heaven with You and for residing in our hearts while we live here on Earth. Thank You for fellowship with other believers and the peace that only You can give. You know our needs before we even ask. May we exercise the privilege to ask for your help as we serve as your ambassadors
In the name of Jesus we pray,
AMEN
